embroided pieces from banjaras




we are putting up some images of banjaa embroided pieces.so,that one can understand it in a better way.
1.banjara skirt from lambada tribe of andhra pradesh.these skirt are worn at the time of marriages and ceremonies.
2.chakali from vanjara tribe of madhya pradesh.these are us3ed to cover food plates at tthe time of marriages and ceremonies.all the colours in these are natural dyes & the pattern of embroidery is cross sitch.
3. godiu(baby swing) from bhil tribe madhya pradesh.it is used at time of name ceremony of the new born child.all the colours are natural dyes and the pattern of embroidery is reverse applique on the borders and the cross sitch in the central part of the godiu.
